The Hofbräuhaus Regensburg welcomes guests from Regensburg & around the world. Bavarian inn culture “Beim Schafbauer” has been a tradition since 1988.
The Hofbräuhaus is considered an "institution" and is one of the most beautiful historic inns in the Upper Palatinate. Bavarian specialties and the Munich Hofbräu beer are the Schafbauer family's recipe for success. The tavern has been one of the city's most traditional taverns for over three decades. Young and old meet here. The host, hotel business economist and head chef Thomas Schafbauer and his wife Karin successfully run the inn and have already received several awards. As an instructor, Thomas Schafbauer stands behind the values of Bavarian cooking. Regionality & freshness are the basis for the homemade dishes. Senior chef Gerti Schafbauer also knows that many guests appreciate the special dishes that are rarely found in taverns. These include dishes such as B. heart of rust, liver sour or the popular insider tip the Hofbräuhaus tartare. HB, two letters, a crown. The Hofbräu-Munich brewery logo is both a promise and an incentive.
The dishes are seasonal, as are the “crowned” Hofbräu beers that flow from the tap in the Hofbräuhaus.
Senior boss Hans Schafbauer, a trained master brewer died in March at the age of 85. With his wife Gerti Schafbauer, he made a name for himself far beyond the borders of Regensburg. Employees from 10 different nations work in the family business of the "schafbauers". In the summer months, the idyllic beer garden in the courtyard and the patio in front of the house are very popular.
You are also welcome to give a visit to the Hofbräuhaus as a present. We would be happy to issue you with a gift voucher.
